EV Green Charger Experience Film Showcasing Smart, Sustainable Mobility
DEWA required a clear, engaging film to introduce the EV Green Charger ecosystem, showcasing how sustainable mobility fits seamlessly into everyday life in Dubai. We delivered a cinematic experience film that combined real-world usage, motion graphics, and human-centered storytelling to communicate accessibility, innovation, and long-term impact.
Pre-Production
Pre-production focused on aligning sustainability messaging with real user behavior. We conducted stakeholder briefings to understand DEWA's objectives for the EV Green Charger initiative and reviewed technical workflows behind charging access, mobile registration, and station availability. Scripts were developed to balance instructional clarity with emotional storytelling. Storyboards mapped transitions between residential, urban, and digital environments. Location planning, shot lists, and approvals were finalized to ensure smooth filming across public and private spaces within a tight three-day planning window.
Production
Production was executed by a compact, agile crew working across indoor residences, city streets, green spaces, and live charging locations. We filmed real users interacting with EV Green Charger stations, mobile applications, and vehicles in motion. Controlled camera paths were used in active environments to avoid disruption while capturing authentic movement. Live-action footage was complemented with planned plates for motion graphics integration. The team relied on stabilized camera systems and natural light balancing to maintain visual realism across varied locations.
Post-Production
Post-production focused on clarity, polish, and consistency. Editing emphasized clean pacing to guide viewers through the EV Green Charger journey without overwhelming technical detail. Motion graphics were layered to visualize digital steps such as account creation and station mapping. Colour correction and grading ensured continuity across daylight, interior, and graphic-heavy scenes. Voiceover editing and audio mixing were refined to maintain a calm, confident tone. Multiple review rounds were completed to align with brand standards before final delivery in optimized digital formats.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge 1: Filming Live Innovation and Mobility Systems
Capturing EV Green Charger infrastructure in real operation required filming without interrupting public movement or charging access.
Solution: Early coordination, precise scheduling, and controlled camera paths enabled uninterrupted operations while capturing dynamic, real-world visuals.
Challenge 2: Maintaining Visual Continuity Across Varied Lighting
The project spanned homes, outdoor stations, vehicles, and digital overlays, creating inconsistent lighting conditions.
Solution: A consistent colour workflow and calibrated grading approach ensured smooth visual transitions across all scenes.
Challenge 3: Balancing Sustainability Messaging With Human Use
Communicating innovation without making the film feel overly technical was essential.
Solution: : A narrative built around daily habits and clear benefits ensured technology supported the story rather than dominating it.
Project Outcome
The final EV Green Charger experience film delivered a clear, engaging overview of DEWA's sustainable mobility initiative. The film was successfully used across digital platforms and public-facing channels to communicate ease of use, accessibility, and environmental value. Client feedback highlighted the film's clarity, visual consistency, and ability to translate complex systems into relatable, everyday experiences.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful storytelling can make sustainability tangible. By focusing on real people and practical use, the EV Green Charger film reinforces the role of clear communication in driving adoption of green infrastructure. It reflects the growing need for effective Video Production Services and Media Production in Dubai that bridge innovation with public understanding, creating long-term value beyond a single campaign.
